The rally’s intended message is to raise awareness of the growing dissatisfaction that many Americans feel about the unrepresentative nature of government and the erosion of constitutional rights and freedoms.

Terra Eclipse releases iPhone app for Ron Paul Campaign

July 2nd, 2007

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN EMBRACES IPHONE
Design team enables online favorite Ron Paul to realize offline campaign opportunities

SANTA CRUZ, California - July 2, 2007 - Terra Eclipse (www.terraeclipse.com) announced today the beta release of its optimized iPhone application for Congressman Ron Paul’s presidential campaign. The Web 2.0 standards-based application (available at www.ronpaul2008.com/iphone) is designed to integrate with the groundbreaking Apple interface and provide optimized campaign resources over AT&T’s EDGE network.

Internet and political critics noticed Terra Eclipse when it redesigned the official campaign website on June 5th to coincide with Dr. Paul’s appearances on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and the New Hampshire GOP debate. Analysts are crediting the campaign site’s approach of deeply integrating with social networks and forms of “distributed online campaigning” (sources:
http://www.reason.com/blog/, http://www.bivingsreport.com/).

Additionally, online data shows that among Republican candidates, Dr. Paul has the most visited candidate website, the most viewed YouTube channel, the most Meetup groups, and the most socially networked profiles (source: www.techpresident.com). Dr. Paul credits his campaign’s unexpected grassroots momentum to his consistent message of individual liberty and limited government. By embracing the communication platform available on the iPhone, the campaign is preparing to translate that online momentum into real world votes.

“Our web development team has built a robust tool that will allow
iPhone-equipped volunteers to bring Ron Paul’s online popularity into offline households in key early primary states,” says Wyatt Hull, Creative Director of Terra Eclipse. “The internet has been a great equalizer allowing Dr. Paul’s message to reach an eager audience, and the iPhone can help campaign volunteers to further that interest onto the doorsteps and town halls of America. Imagine a teenager taking an iPhone to Grandma’s house and helping her to register to vote or donate to the campaign. Our goal is for supporters to recognize that the iPhone is not only an innovative device. It is a revolutionarytool for political action.”

Dr. Ron Paul is a 10-term Congressman from Lake Jackson, Texas seeking the Republican nomination for President of the United States. He is the leading advocate for freedom in our nation’s capital. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Dr. Paul tirelessly works for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. He is known among his congressional colleagues and his constituents for his consistent voting record. Dr. Paul never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution. From Pasadena, California to Manchester, New Hampshire, people are responding to Ron Paul’s message of freedom, peace and prosperity. The more they hear, the more they want to be a part of the campaign.

“The goal with our eCampaign strategy is to find ways to coordinate the new emerging mode of communication on the Internet (through self-publishing, use of web 2.0 tools, social networking, and online videos) in order to help take online support to offline activism,” notes eCampaign Director Justine Lam. “The use of the iPhone platform tool will play a role in this strategy.”
