Ron Paul Presidential Website wins two Golden Dot Awards

By mavila

April 20, 2009 - Washinton D.C. - Today, the Institute for Politics, Democracy and the Internet will award the recipients of the 2009 Golden Dot Awards. The Terra Eclipse developed Ron Paul Presidential Campaign site won in more major categories than any other conservative campaign.

RonPaul2008.com won the major two awards including:

* Online Politician-of-the-year (Republican)
* Most Networked Campaign (Republican)

The awards will be presented at the 2009 Politics Online Conference on Monday and Tuesday in Washington.

This will be the third Golden Dot award for the RonPaul2008.com site. In 2007, the campaign was awarded the "Technology Impact Moment of the Year" for the 4.2 Million Dollar Money Bomb day.

Ron Paul's presidential campaign has built a huge amount of online momentum and excitement for limited government principles. Dubbed the conservative "Internet Rockstar", Ron Paul and his campaign have continued with both the Young American's for Liberty (YALiberty.org) and Campaign for Liberty (CampaignforLiberty.com).

In May 2007, Terra Eclipse (TerraEclipse.com) was contracted to revive the Ron Paul 2008 campaign website. With campaign staff, Terra Eclipse devised a redevelopment of Congressman Paul’s online strategy that emphasized social networking and new media to power a robust web presence. The site received national attention, and propelled the congressman from Texas to unprecedented fundraising success--all online and through his website.

Terra Eclipse's New Media Strategist, Abby Alger, will be at the conference to accept the awards.

We'd like to personally thank all the great people who helped the Ron Paul 2008 site become such a huge success and working with our team day in and day out.
